Rudy Giuliani, President Trump’s new personal attorney, is having a rough start in his media attacks defending Trump from the accusations of paying $130,000 to a porn star to keep their relationship a secret and alleged interference in the 2016 Presidential election by the Russian government.

A Harvard law professor and the president’s counselor, Alan Dershowitz, has said that there are efforts being made to support Robert Mueller, the special counselor. He is currently investigating contacts between Russia and Trump’s campaign for the president of the United States, and also possible justice barriers. The question is, Did Russia somehow aid Donald Trump’s campaign?

Dershowitz also stated that he thinks that the last week’s approach of the President and his team is helping Mueller with his tactic, who is trying his best to find violations against them.

Giuliani Backpedals in a Contradictory Interview

In a recent interview with “This Week”, Giuliani denied his previous statement and said that his own announcements about the President’s payment to Stormy Daniels, a porn actress, are only rumors. He also stated that he can’t say if Michael Cohen, the President’s former personal lawyer, had made such payments to any other women for Trump.

Giuliani, who is also an ex-federal prosecutor, said that he would strongly advise Trump not to have a debate with Mueller about the Russian investigation or testify on his own behalf, despite the President’s openness to it.

As a reminder, Donald Trump said that he has no knowledge of the payment to the porn actress last month. He also stated that he doesn’t know where Michael Cohen got the money or why he made the payment.

Cohen on the Outs

When Giuliani was asked if the President knew about the payment after the campaign, he said that he couldn’t answer that. He simply said that he is not able to prove that, and that those are rumors. Michael Cohen is not representing Donald Trump, Giuliani said. Cohen is currently facing a criminal investigation, and his home was raided in order to find records about the Stormy case.

Both Rudy Giuliani and Donald Trump have said that the possible payment to the porn actress was not funded by the campaign’s money.
