The incident occurred on Monday afternoon on private property in Fort Myers, Florida, as per the Florida Highway Patrol's report.

As the young driver approached a curve in the vicinity of a home, the golf cart struck the 7-year-old boy, who was standing in the front yard.

Immediately, the older child was rushed to a local hospital.

The 3-year-old, in contrast, was unharmed.

Further, the law mandates that drivers must be at least 15 years old and have parental consent to obtain a permit.
