“They impeached the president in the House without a lawyer and without one witness,” added Graham. “Now, is that what we’re going to become as a country? I hope not.”
Graham says Trump “did a lot of good for the conservative movement”
On Wednesday, Graham joined the many who’ve said, “The impeachment is a political exercise that will further divide the country and, I think, eventually destroy the presidency.”
He added that the Republicans must not join the Democrats in impeaching Trump and achieve their goal of denying the 45th President the ability to run for public office again.
“That should not be the Republican Party’s goal,” said Graham, adding that its goal should be “to stand up against unconstitutional impeachments and realize that Pres. Trump did a lot of good for the conservative movement.”
Last week, Graham asked President Joe Biden to stop the impeachment trial against Trump.
The impeachment continues to divide the country. This is another slap in the face to the growing disenfranchised 70 million+ Conservative and Independent supporters of the Trump Administration.
