According to multiple reports, Harris will reveal her vice presidential pick by Tuesday, August 6. From there, the pair will campaign across Wisconsin, Michigan, North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona, and Nevada. Each of these states are pivotal battlegrounds that will greatly help the presidential winner in reaching at least 270 electoral votes.
Earlier today, the vice president let the media know she has “not yet” selected the number two for her ticket. As this week goes on, however, Harris will speak with various candidates under consideration as part of the vetting process.
Stay tuned for further updates from the campaign
As the nation eagerly waits for a confirmed candidate, Harris’ campaign supporters remain hard at work. Across the country, Americans are canvassing, phone banking, and otherwise rallying to get Harris across the finish line in November.
The vice president’s team is also working to win over states like North Carolina and Florida. Both of these are in play, as some Democrats feel confident that Harris can flip these areas blue, an effect that will trickle down to other left-wing contenders on the ballot.
