Community Response and Road Closures

Following the incident, locals assembled at the scene of the Harrisburg market fire, their dismay plain to see.

Both Harrisburg Mayor Wanda Williams and Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro were present and committed their support.

Governor Shapiro described the Broad Street Market as a place where the community comes together and acknowledged the devastating impact of the fire.
