Witnesses testified that the gun was never locked-up. His ex-wife, Kathleen Buhle, and his sister-in-law Hallie Biden who he dated after the death of his brother both testified. Hallie indicated that the gun was left unlocked and available when she dropped it in a grocery store dumpster.
The laptop which the FBI has had since early 2019 suggests a myriad of other crimes which have since passed the statute of limitations. There is also evidence of other alleged crimes that will apparently not be prosecuted.
After the verdict President Biden, 81, demanded punishment for people who leave guns unsecured. But he didn’t directly address the guilty verdict.
In his remarks at Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund’s annual “Gun Sense University” conference on Tuesday he claimed he personally attended three “major crime scenes” where “the mother or father left open — left stuff out on the desk, left it out on the table and the kid came out and used it.”
There is no record that Biden was ever at a crime scene.
