The Hypocrisy of the Left’s Allegations of Racism

The liberal media and the progressive left consistently allege that conservatives are bigots and racists. The recent attacks on Donald Trump are a further example of this and in many ways have set the tone for this year’s election. This “branding” effort has accomplished its purpose, ensuring that minorities vote Democrat.

But are minorities making the right choice?

We’ve taken a look at some key economic indicators. Here are some interesting points that you won’t see traditional media outlets cover:

Welfare Numbers

From 2009-2012, the Democrats controlled both the Senate and the White House, and from 2009-2011 controlled the House of Representatives as well. During this period, monthly participation in welfare programs, medicaid, and SNAP (food stamps) increased by a total of almost 3%. When broken down by race, we find that among non-hispanic whites the increase was 1.4%, among African Americans monthly participation increased by 2.7%, and Hispanic participation increased by 3.4%. Further, welfare spending under President Obama has consistently reached record highs year after year.

Unemployment

Let’s look at unemployment across the same time period. In January of 2009, The unemployment rate for whites was 7.1%, African Americans was 12.7 and hispanics was 10.0%. In December of 2012, the unemployment rates were 6.9%, 13.9% and 9.7% respectively. While unemployment for whites and hispanics dropped marginally, black unemployment increased! It was only after Republicans took control of the House of Representatives that unemployment numbers began to drop significantly.

Immigration and Deportation

What about immigration? Surely conservatives’ hard-nosed immigration policies have deported more dream-seeking undocumented (illegal) immigrants than that of the loving liberals?
