A modern-day tale of serendipity has taken the internet by storm. Content creator Jenn Chia posted on Instagram and YouTube that she spotted her now-husband in the background of a selfie she took years before they met. And her fans believe that it proves the "invisible string theory."

In a heartwarming twist of fate, Chia has become an internet sensation. She shared the story of discovering her husband in the background of a selfie taken years before their meeting.

The invisible string theory draws inspiration from an ancient Chinese proverb, suggesting the existence of an invisible red thread that binds individuals destined to be together.

This ethereal connection is believed to be unbreakable, transcending both time and space, often used to describe the profound relationships between soulmates or lovers predestined to cross paths.

Taylor Swift's 2020 anthem, "Invisible String," serves as a contemporary ode to the same theory. The song, featured in the album Folklore, narrates the tale of two soulmates brought together by fate. It references moments from their lives.

It also weaves in literary allusions to classics like Jane Eyre and The Sun Also Rises. Musically, the composition fuses elements of folk, blues, pop, and country.

Chia's viral revelation echoes the sentiments of the invisible string theory. The Malaysia-born content creator shared a 2012 selfie on Instagram, taken approximately 2 years before she met her husband, Jon Liddell. And 11 years before they tied the knot.

The image, captured at a theater cafe, featured Chia holding a glass while Liddell stood in line at the box office, completely unaware of each other's existence.

Chia expressed her astonishment, stating, "We were at the same place but didn’t know each other existed."

Not Ready for Love

The couple officially met in December 2014 and eventually married in August 2023. Chia reflected on the timing of their meeting.

She admitted that if she had met him when the selfie was taken, she may not have been ready for a lasting relationship. And describes herself at that time as a "narcissistic monster" at the time.

Chia is a former professional singer. She transitioned to content creation after teaching herself videography. The influencer has over 90,000 YouTube subscribers on her SolmJenn channel. Chia is a former professional singer. And also has thousands of followers on TikTok and Instagram.

Her husband, Jon Liddell, a Malaysia-raised singer-songwriter known for his YouTube covers and original music, adds a musical dimension to their unique love story.

Chia's Instagram followers were quick to draw parallels with the "invisible string theory," emphasizing the poetic beauty of two destined souls connected by an unseen thread.

On TikTok, users resonated with the term, sharing their stories of meeting soulmates long before realizing the depth of their connection.

In the end, Jenn Chia's love story serves as a modern-day testament to the power of destiny and the invisible threads that bind soulmates.
