Ithaca Energy, an independent operator in the oil and gas industry, has announced a major acquisition, agreeing to purchase a substantial portion of Eni of Italy's U.K. assets for a hefty sum of £754 million ($937 million). Jefferies International serves as Ithaca's financial adviser, with Goldman Sachs International as its corporate broker. Gilad Myerson, Ithaca's executive chair, emphasized that the acquisition would leverage Eni's technical expertise, significantly strengthening Ithaca's platform for further growth. "The combination with Eni will further enhance Ithaca's position as a leading U.K. continental shelf production and growth company, with positions in six of the ten largest assets in the region," Myerson stated.

The company also plans to distribute substantial dividends, projecting payouts of up to $500 million annually in 2024 and 2025.
