This week, leaked audio of GOP vice presidential nominee J. D. Vance describing Harris’ entry into the race as a “sucker punch” for Republicans quickly began making the rounds online.
Flanked by supporters earlier this evening, the vice president first noted that Trump and Vance appear to have a lot to say about her. Harris then declared Trump should “say it to [her] face” on a debate stage.
Thus far, the former president has not yet confirmed he’ll do a one-on-one debate against the presumptive Democratic nominee.
Harris, during her time in Atlanta, let supporters know that as a former prosecutor who targeted sex abusers, cheats, and other unscrupulous characters, she “knows Trump’s type.”
September 10
Tuesday, September 10 is the scheduled date for the next White House debate. Days before tonight’s Georgia rally, the vice president announced she’d attend the event, regardless of whether Trump shows up.
On social media, Harris’ supporters are praising her for challenging the former president to a one-on-one showdown. They’ve also speculated that in a debate against Trump, the vice president would ultimately prevail.
