Lawsuit of Capital Police Officer’s Death Accuses Trump

Garza remembers the day of the attack, as she as instructed to guard the perimeter of the West Entrance of the Capital when the rioters arrived. Rioters Tanios and Khater allegedly began attacking the officers; hitting, kicking, and even spraying Sicknick with bear spray someone had brought.

Officer Brian Sicknick passed away on January 7, 2020 as a result of his injuries, and his partner represents his estate. Since then, both rioters mentioned in the complaint have been arrested on assault and conspiracy charges.
