The Tenderloin district of San Francisco finds itself at the center of a legal battle as two hotels and several residents file a lawsuit against the city. The lawsuit alleges the city’s failure to address rampant illegal drug use and related criminal activities.

The plaintiffs contend that the city has turned the Tenderloin into a containment zone for drug users, and criminals.

And is fostering an environment of fear and insecurity among residents and hindering businesses’ ability to operate effectively.
