Late Friday night, the governor announced on Twitter that additional ambulances and emergency resources were being dispatched to assist those impacted by the severe weather. In the aftermath of the storm, officials searched for a missing woman who was swept away by flash flooding when a small river caused her car to veer off the road.
Meanwhile, Amory Mayor Cory Glenn provided an update on the situation in his community to “Fox & Friends Weekend” early Saturday. He stated that everyone in the area had been accounted for “thus far,” but emphasized the scale of the damage caused by the storm.
“A devastating storm, but we’re resilient people and we’ll overcome,” he said.
