The initial cover captioned “His Triumph,” featured Trump gazing upward against a blue sky. The newly released version — “Trump’s World” — depicts him seated at the Hayes desk, hands clasped beneath his chin, exuding a more contemplative posture.

Despite speculation, TIME has not confirmed whether Trump’s complaints prompted the redesign.

A Long Relationship with TIME

Trump’s long association with TIME dates back decades. The publication named him Person of the Year twice — in 2016 and again in 2024 — cementing his place as one of the most frequently featured U.S. presidents in the magazine’s history.

However, not all of Trump’s covers have been authentic. According to The Washington Post, fake TIME covers adorned the walls of at least five of his golf clubs, displaying a headline declaring that “Trump is hitting it on all fronts … even TV!” The revelation led the magazine to request their removal.
