Diverging Outcomes: Settlements for Others, No Mercy Here
The OCC’s harsh stance on Anderson stands in contrast to recent settlements with other executives tied to the scandal. Earlier this year, the agency slashed penalties for former chief auditor David Julian, from $7 million to $100,000, and for former executive audit director Paul McLinko, from $1.5 million to $50,000, resolving their cases without further litigation.
But for Anderson, the gloves remain off.
Counsel and Legal Firepower
Anderson is represented by Kelley Wolter & Scott PA, including attorneys Douglas A. Kelley, Steven E. Wolter, Brett D. Kelley, Perry F. Sekus, and Garrett S. Stadler, as well as University of Minnesota law professor Ilan Wurman.
The OCC’s in-house legal team includes Stuart Feldstein, Patricia S. Grady, Peter C. Koch, Derick Fong, Kristin Mary McManus, Hannah Hicks, and Daniel Prieve.
As the case moves forward, it will test not only the limits of executive accountability but the future of administrative enforcement in the post-Jarkesy legal landscape.
