POLL: Many Young Voters Worry About the Economy

On the economy, about two-thirds of Americans 30 and younger said their parents fared better financially than they themselves today. Only 24% disagreed.

With more young people eligible to vote in 2024 than there were in 2020, candidates running for the White House will have to face the problems surrounding the economy. This is one key area where Joe Biden continues to get hammered by Republicans.

The president and his allies often claim that Biden’s policies are responsible for economic revival, but this doesn’t add up in many cases. It’s hard for Americans to agree the president has successfully managed the economy amid job layoffs and rising costs, with no indication of this slowing down anytime soon.

Whichever candidates make it to the general election will have to not just address the economy, but also connect with voters on it. So far, GOP candidates have taken the most assertive stances on this issue, offering various remedies.

Biden and the Democrats, on the other hand, continue to play defense.
