Of all the issues that impact the lives of Americans, the economy is at the top of that list. When the economy is out of sorts, it’s harder for most people to keep up with bills, handle financial setbacks, and take care of their families.
For years, inflation has been an ongoing presence in the economy, making life harder for people who were barely treading water to begin with. Some folks are taking on multiple jobs or seeking gig work to supplement their income.
Unfortunately, despite everyone’s best efforts, there’s no sign that turbulence in the economy will disappear anytime soon. This is why a new poll lists the economy as one of the top concerns for Americans younger than 30.
A breakdown of young Americans’ greatest concerns
According to a poll run by Emerson College, 44% of voters who are 30 or younger feel that the economy tops the list of the most critical issues in America.
This was followed by 14% of the same age demographic citing healthcare as the most pressing topic. Finally, just 10% of young voters declared education to be of the utmost importance.
