As Joe Biden seeks another term in the White House, he’ll have to convince voters that he’s a better fit for four more years than former President Trump. Thus far, Biden’s gone on the record asserting he defeated Trump four years ago and will do so once more this November.
Nonetheless, certain polls show the former president either getting the best of Biden or coming close to doing so. This subsequently leaves certain Democrats pondering whether or not the current president truly has the capacity to pull off another win.
So far, Biden’s team has yet to publicly acknowledge these surveys or specific concerns surrounding them. Yet, a new one is out and it doesn’t put Biden in a favorable light at all.
A lack of respect?
Recent Gallup polling reveals most people across the country (58%) believe the 46th president lacks the respect of leaders overseeing other nations. Just 37% think Biden has garnered world leaders’ respect. 5% told Gallup they have no consensus on the matter either way.
Of course, Democrats are overwhelmingly less likely to believe other presidents and heads of state view Biden in poor standing. 74% think Biden holds the respect of these officials, while 34% of Independents and just 3% of GOP members agree.
