A former forensic scientist with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is under scrutiny following revelations of manipulated DNA test results in hundreds of cases, shedding light on potential discrepancies spanning nearly 30-years of work.
Yvonne “Missy” Woods, who served at the CBI crime lab for 29 years, is at the center of an internal affairs investigation that has found some discrepancies in her testing procedures.
Fortunately, Woods did not fabricate DNA profiles or matches.
In response to the investigation, Woods was placed on administrative leave in October before retiring in November.
