Whether or not Biden will be able to turn things around between now and Election Day in 2024 remains to be seen.
A different story from Biden’s supporters
Despite the dismal polling the president faces, his allies and supporters are eager to spin the story in a different direction.
Many Biden supporters feel that if the general election comes down to a rematch of Biden vs. Trump, most Americans will go with the former.
Predominately Democratic supporters of the president likewise maintain that the abortion issue and Biden’s support for abortion rights will give him an edge with key voter blocs in the general election.
Time will tell. While there are some speculations from critics that Biden may not even make it to the general election next year, the president’s supporters and allies insist otherwise.
Nonetheless, as things currently stand, 56% disapproval amongst the American people indicates trouble for Biden. In the weeks and months ahead, additional polls will provide insight into the most likely trajectory for the president.
