Troubling behavior from the Russian president

During the onset of his attack against Ukraine, Putin declared that anyone who interceded to help Ukraine fight off onslaughts would face “consequences” no one in history has borne witness to.

Then, over the course of this past weekend, the Russian dictator put his nation’s nuclear forces on a “high alert.”

Much of the world views this as an outright threat and is wondering just how far Putin intends to take things.

The Russian president has also been curiously referring to the Ukrainian president as a “Nazi” and declaring his attacks on Ukraine are about “de-nazifying” the nation.

This is odd, seeing as President Zelenskyy is Jewish; moreover, Zelenskyy’s own ancestors actually fought against real Nazis in the past. There is no evidence whatsoever linking the Ukraine president to Nazism.

Former US ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul stated, as someone who speaks Russian and spent years in rooms with Putin, the autocratic leader is “unhinged” to increasing degrees.

More troubles ahead for Putin?

As a result of Putin’s war against Ukraine, various sanctions from different nations have been hitting Russia left and right.
