Many American users have mocked the cybersecurity concerns that led to TikTok’s ban. “It is impossible to underestimate how little I care that the Chinese have my data,” TikTok influencer Jen Hamilton remarked in a video to her 3.9 million followers.
Since joining Red Note on Monday, Hamilton has already amassed 22,000 followers on the platform.
Red Note aims to “inspire lives” by integrating authentic content with commerce. Its rapid growth and viral appeal demonstrate its potential to fill the void left by TikTok’s uncertain future. However, whether it can avoid the same fate as TikTok in the U.S. remains to be seen.
