Within the past few weeks, the presidential campaign of Bernie Sanders has taken a significant turn for the worst.

Thus far, at least seven former 2020 hopefuls have endorsed Biden. The former vice president's state victories and securement of delegates also comes at the expense of momentum that Sanders previously branded as "unstoppable."

Despite the hits that his candidacy is taking, the Democratic-socialist hasn't thrown in the towel yet. As a matter of fact, Sanders is taking the fight directly to the Democrat establishment.

Just yesterday, Sanders went after the establishment and strongly implied that he knows more about what it takes to win than they do.

A Closer Look at Sanders' Message to the Democrat Establishment

Following an unsuccessful outcome on Tuesday night's elections, Sanders declined to immediately address his supporters. Instead, he waited until Wednesday to share his statements with supporters, the nation, and the Democrat establishment.

While in Burlington, Vermont, the 2020 Democrat unloaded; according to Sanders, he has the ability to appeal to a multigenerational coalition of voters. This is something that the Vermont senator inferred is missing on the ends of Biden and the establishment behind him.

After admitting that Tuesday night wasn't "a good night for [his] campaign from a delegate point of view," Sanders directly called out the Democrat establishment.

In the Democrat candidate's own words:

"I say to the Democratic establishment, in order to win in the future, you need to win the voters who represent the future of our country. You must speak to the issues of concern to them. You cannot simply be satisfied by winning the votes of people who are older."

Shortly thereafter, Sanders opined that his campaign is winning from an ideological standpoint, yet failing to convince Americans of electability.

Will the Democrat Establishment Listen to Bernie Sanders?

At this time, there is no evidence to indicate that the establishment will heed Sanders' talking points. The Democrat establishment continues to evidence their willingness to work in favor of Biden; back-to-back endorsements are only the tip of the iceberg.

The 2020 election marks the second time that Democrats have supported an establishment-favored candidate. At this point, most Americans believe that Biden is all but guaranteed to win the party's nomination.
