Louis Anthony "Tony" Pellegrino, after dedicating nearly 14 intense years as an assistant U.S. attorney in the Southern District of New York, now joins Dentons, ready to leave a mark.

Everest, then his lead role in prosecuting the enigmatic Bernie Madoff would be it. In the vast maze of pharmaceutical prosecutions and targeting opioid distributors, Pellegrino's name resonated.

Adding more arrows to his quiver, he masterfully handled lawsuits under the False Claims Act, the Food Drug and Cosmetic Act, among other major statutes.

Tracing the Roots: The Making of Pellegrino

The foundation was set at the prestigious Syracuse University College of Law, post which Tony made a patriotic leap with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers honors program. Then, the transition to the firm now known as Milbank LLP, culminating in his SDNY role in 2010.

Drawing inspiration from a lineage of World War II heroes, his commitment to government service is not just professional but deeply personal. Grandfather's heroic B-24 flights over Germany and an uncle's mysterious life as a Navy submariner fed his yearning.
