A prominent Silicon Valley tech executive has been arrested for murder. He is accused of the April 4 death of Bob Lee, the founder of Cash App. Lee also invested in other science and tech companies, including SpaceX.

The April 14 arrest warrant identified the suspect as Nima Momeni. According to the report, Lee had been drinking with a group of friends on the night before the murder. Momeni’s sister, Khazar Momeni was present.

Nima argued with Lee about his sister before the fatal stabbing.

The incident has shed a spotlight on San Francisco’s crime problem, with notable tech personalities, including Twitter CEO Elon Musk, speaking out about the city’s alarming rates of violent crime.

Prior to the arrest, many believed Lee was killed due to an attempted robbery or perhaps murdered by a homeless person.
