The community vote comprises of 30% towards the final decision. The remainder of the percentages, however, include the SXSW Staff with 30% and the Advisory Board with the last 40%. By using this process, it ensures that less well-known voices have as much of a chance as being selected to speak at SXSW as individuals with large online followings. In all, these percentages help determine the final lineup.
