I hire the best talent, no matter where they come from. But most of my most talented employees were educated in the United States. Our young talent comes from universities that conduct inventive research that is not done anywhere else in the world. So, why would I ever consider looking outside of the United States for my talent?
Some employers claim that American workers demand too much money. They want benefits, vacations, good pay, and so much more. Those same employers say they can reduce costs by hiring workers who need the H1-B visa rather than naturally born American workers. Those employers must not value their employees. When an employee delivers on an idea and can follow it through to the point where it can be sold and maintained, then that employee is worth good pay, benefits, vacations, and everything that I can give in exchange for that work.
