Winter storms have been no joke in 2022. Just in this year alone, winter storms have wreaked significant damage on the East Coast of the United States.
Likewise, airlines have found themselves forced to postpone and even cancel flights altogether. This has created a situation at airports where many travelers wound up stranded and then had trouble with rebooking.
Governors in states like Virginia and others hit hard by storms are issuing declarations of emergencies. Americans in the midst of these winter storms are also facing advice to steer clear of being on the roads unless it’s absolutely necessary.
As of right now, though, news is breaking about just how much of a negative impact winter storms are having on the state of Tennessee.
A closer look at the impacts of storms in the Volunteer State
In Tennessee, there are more than 66,000 residents who currently are going without electrical power. This is according to Memphis Light, Gas, and Water (MLGW). Unfortunately, some Tennesseans have remained in this predicament for days on end now.
