One of the highlights of every Super Bowl is the commercials. Many people say they watch only to see them, and this year provided some classics, and not in the way you would expect.

There were some good ones for certain, but the number of woke, PC or just embarrassing commercials appeared to reach new heights.

In a two-minute advertisement for Jeep, singer and songwriter Bruce Springsteen, who has spent the past four years dividing people and complaining about former President Donald Trump, asks everyone to meet in the middle now that President Joe Biden is in the White House.

“It’s no secret the middle has been a hard place to get to lately between red and blue, between servant and citizen, between freedom and our fear,” the “Born In The U.S.A.” singer said in the voiceover of the commercial. “As for freedom, it’s not just the property of the fortunate few. It belongs to us all.”

This is a man who made a video promoting President Biden during the 2020 presidential election and made many videos chastising former President Trump, but now he wants to meet in the middle.

The “Remember When Super Bowl Commercials Were Geared Toward Masculine Men Award” winner was a commercial from a company named Oatly  who produces, what it calls, oat milk.

For the record milk cannot come from oats, or soy or almonds. If you like those things then you should support them, but to call what they make “milk” is disingenuous.

The commercial for this atrocity was simply the CEO of the company, Toni Petersson, in field of oats singing about the product. Cringe, they name is Oatly.

One of the first Wokemercials of the night was from M&M’s. it featured actor Dan Levy and a host of apologies for things like “mansplaining,” calling someone a “Karen,” when there name is actually Karen, and more.

In a day and age where being a weak and effeminate man is all the rage this M&M commercial was spot on 2021 wokeness.

Then there was the Cure Auto Insurance ad that made light of sexual harassment in the workplace that was so cringe it would have won our Cringe Award had Oatly not made a commercial.

The ad showed employees in an office where a woman, presumably a supervisor, is behind a desk talking to a male and female employee.

“Ms. Davis, Tommy just brought me into his office and whipped out his opinion,” the female employee said.

“Tommy,” the supervisor said.

“I didn’t just whip it out. She was into it. Plus, I have a pretty big opinion,” Tommy said.

“Oh please, it’s not that big,” the female employee complained.

“She only gave me a second,” Tommy insisted.

“Tommy, not everyone in this office wants your opinion,” the supervisor said.

“Okay, well, how about you last week at happy hour when you begged me for my opinion?” Tommy said.

“I had a pitcher of margaritas. I would’ve taken Doug’s opinion,” the supervisor said.

The NBC sketch comedy show “Saturday Night Live” skewered the wokeness best on the night before the Super Bowl.
