Uber Makes Bullish Projections Ahead of Growing Demand for Rides, Food Delivery

In the United States and around the world, rideshare company Uber has undeniably made a name for itself. People use the app to not only order car rides, but also get food delivered and even make arrangements for flights, buses, and coaches.

Unlike US competitor Lyft, Uber is active in 70 nations around the world. In 2022, roughly 131 million individuals used the app, many of them getting meals through UberEats.

All things considered, Uber is here to stay. In recent years, there’s even been talk of the rideshare company coming out with self-driving vehicles that folks can order to get from point a to point b.

As this year’s first quarter plays out, Uber is now making very optimistic projections about what lies ahead.

A positive sign of the times

This week, the rideshare giant predicted its earnings for the current quarter will shake out to a gross total ranging between $1.26 billion and $1.34 billion. Fueling this projection are significant upticks that Uber’s observed in car rides and food deliveries.
