The latest manifestation of this comes in the form of Robert Ritchie's (more commonly known as Kid Rock) possible run for the Michigan Senate. According to Free Beacon, Kid Rock is currently leading his would be Democrat rival Debbie Stabenow in a newly released Delphi Analytica poll.

Many Americans have already begun to speculate the ways in which Kid Rock could successfully secure a Senate seat. According to The Federalist's Jordan Gehrke, it would be in Kid Rock's best interest to employ his heartfelt love for Detroit as a tool to connect with the people of Michigan and secure the votes needed to beat Stabenow.

Interestingly enough, Gehrke believes it may be in Kid Rock's best interest to apply the same techniques that President Trump used when he ran for office. Like Donald Trump, Kid Rock is an intriguing figure; his unorthodoxy will prove to be invaluable and help him stand out from schooled, rehearsed politicians who use the same old soundbites that voters have tired of.

Gerhrke also touched on Kid Rock's potential to receive support from people who may not identify as Republicans or Democrats, due to the Senate race's open primary. This is also a notable parallel to Donald Trump, who was able to employ a similar strategy during last year's Presidential election. Believe it or not, voters are becoming more and more receptive to 'outsider' candidates. President Trump is a prime example of this. The 2016 Presidential election truly marked the downfall of politicians who many would consider to be insiders. Outsiders like Kid Rock resonate with American voters.

Quite frankly, Senator Kid Rock would be amazing. America needs more unorthodox and unique politicians in office. Perhaps the rise of outsiders will engender the end of the unbelievable amount of corruption and lack of progress existing in government. Kid Rock's lead over Stabenow just serves as proof that Michigan voters are seeking a fresh face. Stabenow is the epitome of your typical politician. There was a time when voters desired the "norm" in government, but that is no longer the case.
