More from the CDC

Within the CDC, its Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity has some helpful tips that can go a long way toward getting more people in shape.

At the top of the list is the expansion of access to physical exercise opportunities and healthy food, along with avoiding sedentary lifestyles and excessive amounts of time on screens.

The CDC likewise advises that greater support for breastfeeding mothers, obesity prevention efforts targeted toward the youth, and programs to mitigate weight within families will make a difference.
