After stating that the loss of manufacturing jobs contributed to Trump’s victory in 2016, Yang urged his party members to pivot towards gaining the trust of Americans.
In the 2020 Democrat’s own words:
“The more we act like Donald Trump is the cause of all of our problems, the more Americans lose trust that we can actually see what’s going on in our communities and solve those problems.”
Where Do Democrats Currently Stand on Impeachment?
Yang’s remarks about how Democrats should deal with impeachment come at an interesting time. Just this week, the House approved two articles of impeachment, yet won’t pass these articles onto the Senate.
This decision prompted immense criticism from conservatives and Republicans. GOP leaders Kevin McCarthy and Mitch McConnell admonished Pelosi’s refusal to turn over articles to the Senate for a trial.
Now, Pelosi claims that she wants certain stipulations and agreements of a “fair” process before handing the articles over. Ironically, some Americans on the right have noted how this behavior aligns with that of a quid-pro-quo.
