Throughout his time as a presidential candidate, O’Rourke ran a mediocre campaign, at best. He consistently trailed behind other candidates; however, in the latter weeks of his bid for the presidency, O’Rourke gained attention in the press for his hardline leftist gun stances.

“Hell yes, we’re gonna take your AR-15, your AK-47,” he infamously declared during September’s Democrat debate. These words later came back to bite him after various gun-loving Americans confronted him at his rallies and town halls.
