With the revelation that Nelson forged the allegedly incriminating yearbook comes something deeper. Women who lie or misrepresent facts about sexual assault hurt other women who may be real victims, noted many Americans.
On Tuesday, Alabama voters will go to the polls and decide whether Roy Moore or Doug Jones should serve in the Senate.
Nelson has yet to apologize for her misrepresentation. She and Allred are, however, planning a forthcoming news conference.
