Earlier this month, Russian hackers launched a successful cyberattack against Colonial pipeline. The attack engendered not only massive gas shortages across the United States, but also a new spotlight on how the Biden administration has threatened U.S. energy independence.

Earlier this year, President Biden signed an executive order that shut down Keystone pipeline, killing the thousands of jobs associated with it. Biden, claimed without evidence, that the pipeline posed environmental harm; yet, the Democrat president's administration has changed their tune on pipelines amid the aforementioned gas shortages.

Days ago, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm arrived at the epiphany that pipelines are necessary for oil transportation in America. Granholm, who infamously favored the removal of Keystone pipeline, is now under fire for hypocrisy.

Feedback from Keystone pipeline workers and businesses

Businesses and workers with connections to Keystone pipeline are not impressed with the president or his energy secretary. Many of these people now question how the Biden administration can take their current actions in good conscious. Others additionally stated that Biden "sold out" union workers and others who relied on Keystone pipeline.

Keystone pipeline workers and businesses have made some points that many Americans agree with. Furthermore, the actions of the Biden administration continue to engender views that he doesn't have the nation's best interests at heart.

Biden is currently moving to eliminate sanctions so that a Russian pipeline can begin operations. Republicans have criticized this move, taking issue with Biden giving jobs that could go to Americans to a foreign nation.

This president has made no mention or moves to reinstate Keystone pipeline; yet apparently, Russia's NordStream 2 Pipeline will soon have a green light.

Consistent threats to U.S. energy independence

Under President Trump, America made significant strides to achieving energy independence; under President Biden, these strides have stopped and even been reversed.

Increasing America's reliance on foreign countries for oil is the opposite direction necessary for U.S. energy independence. The president doesn't seem to know or care about this; the same situation also applies to Energy Secretary Granholm.

Ultimately, this is the root of frustration for the Keystone pipeline workers and businesses in America.
