However, there is a faction of the Democrat Party which believes that new, fresher faces are imperative to the success of the Democrats. Last month Democratic strategist Brad Bannon openly stated that his party would fare well with a younger candidate. Sanders, Biden, Warren, and Clinton are each in their seventies. By contrast, Booker is in his late forties, while Harris is in her fifties.
Similarly to Biden, Democrats have overwhelmingly expressed their perceived need to defeat President Trump in 2020. During his remarks in Montana, Biden declared that the country can’t have “four more years” of the current commander-in-chief.
If Biden runs for office, he will not be the first former vice president to seek the presidency. Whether or not his potential bid for the White House would yield success is another matter entirely. At this point, only time will tell whether or not Biden chooses to run.
