In the United States, a felony conviction prohibits individuals from owning a firearm, voting, and traveling to certain nations.

Many countries outright ban felonies from entering or stop their entry upon "discovering" that a person attempting to cross their borders has a felony conviction. Among the list of countries that fall into one of these categories are Japan, the United Kingdom, Argentina, Canada, Israel, Brazil, etc.

On Thursday, former President Trump was officially found guilty of 34 felony charges by a New York jury. At the root of these charges is the former president falsifying business records to cover up hush money payments to an adult film actress.

Less than 24 hours later, Joe Biden's reelection team is hammering Trump over this.

Team Biden on Trump's felony convictions

The president's team sent out an email to supporters, underscoring the need to keep Trump from regaining power. In the message, it's stated that "convicted felon or not," the Republican Party will ultimately nominate Trump to represent them heading into the November election.

Team Biden likewise told its fans that "the ballot box" is the one and only way to keep the former president out of office. On social media, Joe Biden's official presidential account has posted about the felony convictions of Trump as well.

Posts from just hours ago accuse the former president of questioning America's judicial system and election system. The Biden-Harris HQ account shows snippets of the president speaking about the Thursday verdict from New York's jury.

In these remarks, Biden underscores that no American gets to stand above the law. He also dismissed allegations from Trump supporters who called the judicial process "rigged." To this end, the president said Trump and his attorneys had ample opportunities to bring forward a legal defense.

Finally, Biden feels it is "reckless" and "dangerous" to assert that the guilty verdicts against Trump are the result of rigging or other foul play.

This won't be going away

New York's jury found Trump guilty of all 34 charges that the prosecution brought against him. Americans can expect the president and other critics of Trump to continue driving this point home.

Thus far, Biden remains scheduled to debate Trump once in June and again in September. On both of these occasions, the president will undoubtedly cite Trump's latest felony convictions as added reasons to keep him out of office.
