Biden’s unpopularity amongst progressives within the Democrat Party is one of his biggest issues. Progressive Democrats do not believe Biden is far left enough; they’ve also slammed him for calling for a middle ground on various issues. The former vice president may maintain a lead amongst voters in his party, but will this lead last? Furthermore, will Biden be able to win the nomination to represent the Democrat Party in the general election?
Only time will tell.
Biden’s unpopularity amongst Republicans and conservatives stems from the fact that he’s simply not liked amongst the right-wing. While Biden may not be a far-left progressive (at least not now), he is definitely a Democrat. As someone who is hoping to take on President Trump in 2020, Biden is also a vocal critic of the current president.
