Biden Pushing Back Against Democrats Who Don’t Want Him in 2024

Less than two years into Joe Biden’s presidency, his own party is quickly turning against him.

Democrats have grown disillusioned with Biden’s weak responses to a series of issues ranging from the destruction of Roe v. Wade to his inability to pass the Build Back Better bill.

Just earlier this week, a new poll revealed that most Democrats favor a different candidate to represent their party in 2024.

Meanwhile, the progressive organization known as RootsAction is going to launch a nationwide campaign after the November midterms that resists a Biden 2024 run.

Amid all this, the president is now claiming that Democrats actually do want him to run for a second White House term.

Biden on his levels of Democratic support

The president seems to think he’s got strong in-party support for a re-election run. Yet, this view remains at odds with polls and Democrats’ own comments that disagree with Biden going for a second term.

On Tuesday, Biden faced a question from the press concerning Democrats openly bashing a Biden 2024 run. The president responded to this by claiming his party “[wants] him to run.”
