Mega Star Britney Spears' attorney, Mathew Rosengart told her Dad, Jamie Spears to stop bullying and attacking her. And to start answering questions regarding the ex-conservators financial shenanigans and potentially illegal wiretapping of his superstar daughter.

Britney Spears claimed in a now-deleted Instagram post that her Dad, Jamie Spears set her up for public ridicule. And the interview has been widely seen as a journalist bullying and attacking the young singer.

“Pretty lame of my dad and three men to show up at my door when I could hardly speak… they put Diane Sawyer in my living room… they forced me to talk!!!” Spears posted on Instagram this week. “I was a baby… I was almost 22 and didn’t understand… but I fucking know now!!!”

Jamie Spears denies involvement

Jamie's suspension by the court came in November, after 13 years of setting up and overseeing her conservatorship. And he denies he forced her to do the interview nearly 20 years ago.

Sawyer hasn’t said anything about the pop star’s criticism. But Britney’s dad Jamie decided to speak up on this particular issue. Although he has addressed very little else.

In a statement issued by Alex Weingarten, attorney for Jamie Spears, her Dad denied any involvement in the interview. Tapes of the 2003 interview appear to show journalist Diane Sawyer making a vulnerable 21-year-old star cry.

“Mr. Spears has no idea what Ms. Spears is talking about,” Weingarten claims.

“Jamie never set up an interview with Diane Sawyer and was not present for any such interview. He had nothing to do with Britney’s career at this point and was completely uninvolved in this interview. Jamie loves Britney very much, wishes Britney nothing but the best, and hopes that she continues to seek the help that she needs to stay safe and healthy.”

Britney’s attorney points to bullying and attacking

The superstar’s attorney, Mathew Rosengart, encourages his client’s dad to focus on answering questions regarding sketchy financial issues and wiretapping allegations.

According to a report in Variety, Rosengart says “Rather than bullying and attacking his daughter, even as he claims to ‘love’ her, it would be far more appropriate for Mr. Spears and his lawyer to focus on answering the following fundamental questions, to start, which we have been asking for months: As a suspended conservator, will he now return the millions of dollars in combined salary and commissions from Britney’s work that he paid himself before he was suspended? What were the total amounts he received from his daughter’s estate? Why did he approve a $500,000 payment to Tri Star after Britney went on hiatus? Does he have any evidence to refute the allegations in the extensive New York Times expose regarding a listening device being placed in his adult daughter’s bedroom?”

The red-hot legal battle between Spears and her father is ongoing. According to Britney's statement in June the conservatorship was akin to "sex trafficking or slavery. And a number of tell-all documentaries also point out that Jamie Spears was constantly bullying and attacking his daughter with a lot of help from Tri Star.

The conservatorship was terminated on Dec. 8. And Rosengart has been speaking out claiming  Spears’ father has avoided appearing for deposition. And is failing his fiduciary duty by ignoring requests for specific documents.

He believes a deposition will “shed light in regard to his abuses and the alleged conduct.” And from public documents, Rosengart says they already know that Jamie Spears took up to $4 million from his client’s estate.
