To make matters worse, Christie participated in the debate-prep team ahead of Tuesday’s debate against Joe Biden. It has been reported that the prep consisted of five to six individuals as well as President Trump and nobody wore a mask.

“No one was wearing masks in the room when we were prepping the president during that period of time,” Christie explained in a CBS interview.

The news follows announcements that President Trump and the First Lady have both tested positive for coronavirus, leading to the President being sent to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Friday to undergo medical treatment.

While the president’s physician has said that Trump is only exhibiting mild symptoms, there is the possibility that Trump’s condition could worsen over the next 48 hours.

For Christie, this is certainly unwelcome news as the former governor has had multiple health issues including obesity and asthma. Conditions that are known to increase the risk of fatality for persons diagnosed with COVID-19.
