Throughout his 2024 presidential campaign, former New Jersey Gov. Christ Christie has made calling out former President Trump a top priority.

Christie’s view is Trump lacks the fortitude, character, and capacity to lead this nation again. He also warned that the former president’s internal longings for retribution stand as the only motivators driving his campaign.

In addition to spending a lot of time in New Hampshire, Christie’s been calling out his opponents. The former governor argues that Nikki Haley, Ron DeSantis, and Vivek Ramaswamy haven’t effectively distanced from Trump or appropriately denounced him.

Over the weekend, Christie further raised these concerns about Haley in particular.

A bone to pick

During an appearance on Face the Nation, Christie dismissed polling that shows Haley rising in New Hampshire, fresh off an endorsement from Sununu. Despite the former UN ambassador having the state governor’s support, Christie still wrote off the surveys as “foolish.”

He also questioned whether or not Haley’s running for president or to be Trump’s vice president, should the latter win the nomination. Christie told Face the Nation his opponent has yet to “answer questions” about Trump and didn’t explicitly state she wouldn’t serve as his vice president.
