Cuban Protests Spark New Divide Between Republicans, Democrats

It’s a completely different story amongst Democrats, however. Many Democrats who have supported either communist figures, communist policies, or both are now silent. Meanwhile, certain leftist organizations, such as Black Lives Matter, have outrightly expressed support for — not the Cuban people — but instead, the Cuban communist regime.

Earlier in the week, former Vice President Mike Pence called out Democrats for this. Pence slammed the political left for their hesitancy to criticize their communist allies in Cuba. Furthermore, Pence made clear that conservatives firmly back the Cuban people’s calls for democracy, freedom, and liberty.

Many conservatives here in America also noted the Cuban people waving U.S. flags as symbols of freedom.

Downplaying the Cuban protests

Many of the Democrats to speak out about Cuban protesters have feigned as if these demonstrations are about matters other than freedom from communist oppression.

Certain leftists want to think Cubans are taking to the streets due to COVID vaccine shortages or other matters. However, this is far from the case, as Republicans have pointed out.
