A large street party that descended into chaos in Saginaw, Michigan, ended in a shocking shooting, resulting in two fatalities and injuring 15 others.

The shooting in Saginaw Michigan, which police say occurred near Fourth and Johnson Streets, transformed a bustling social gathering into a scene of tragedy and panic.

The night, which began with an unpermitted party of nearly 500 people, quickly spiraled out of control after a fight broke out around midnight, leading to gunshots ringing out and spreading terror among the attendees.

The sudden eruption of violence led to a frantic rush for safety, with people caught in the crossfire or hit by vehicles in the frantic escape.

Tragically, a 19-year-old male and a 51-year-old female were killed in the shooting.

The Saginaw, Michigan shooting also injured 15 others, some of whom were struck by fleeing vehicles in the ensuing panic.

While the medical condition of the injured remains unknown, local hospitals have been working round the clock to treat the victims.

Both Michigan State Police and Saginaw Police have been at the scene, conducting an ongoing investigation.

Among the evidence, investigators found at least five different caliber weapons, indicative of the chaos and crossfire that broke out at the scene.

A party spiraling out of control

The street party, which was promoted on social media, had already drawn the attention of local police, who attempted to disperse the crowd on multiple occasions in different locations throughout the city before the shooting.

Despite the magnitude of the incident, no suspects are currently in custody, though authorities assure there is no ongoing threat to the public.
