This time the narrative and proposed justifications for investigations and impeachment are different. Democrats are now alleging that President Trump obstructed justice during the time in which the Mueller probe remained underway. Again, this is something which Mueller could neither confirm or deny.
Therefore, Congressional Democrats believe this is a matter which they should investigate themselves. In the meantime, Democrats are still pushing to impeach the president. Yesterday, after the failed meeting, Pelosi stated that Democrats believe Trump has obstructed justice, an act which Pelosi claims “could be an impeachable offense.”
The Response from President Trump
Donald Trump Jr. is not the only member of the Trump family to have words for Pelosi following yesterday’s events. Yesterday and earlier this morning, the president of the United States took to Twitter and blasted the Democrats in a series of scathing tweets.
