Everything is mystical says the Mexican President

The Maya civilization, in particular, has left a lasting impact on the world, with its architectural, astronomical, and mathematical achievements. Yet, despite their influence, many indigenous cultures around the world continue to face poverty, discrimination and marginalization.

Mexico’s president’s photo of the “Aluxe” may be seen as a small, but significant step in acknowledging and celebrating the contributions of indigenous cultures.

By showing reverence for Mayan folklore, López Obrador is sending a message of inclusivity and respect for all cultures in Mexico. As Mexico continues to grapple with social and political issues, it is important to remember the country’s diverse heritage and the valuable contributions of all its people, past and present.

AMLO is the 65th president of Mexico. And has been in office since December 2018.
