As various 2020 Democrat contenders announce their candidacy for president of the United States, different issues and questions are beginning to emerge.

One of those issues just so happens to be the ages of candidates who hope to take on President Trump in the general election.

How will Age Impact 2020 Democrats?

Earlier today, political pollster Lee Miringoff sat down for an interview with Hill.TV. During Miringoff’s time on air, he shared some thoughts about the ages of current Democrat candidates and what American voters are looking for.

In Miringoff’s own words:

“Democratic voters tell us they want to vote for someone who’s under 45 or 50 years old. The front-runners are all in their 70s. How do we reconcile those numbers?”

The pollster’s statements come after findings from a Harvard University’s Institute of Politics study. 31% of surveyed likely voters stated their preference for Bernie Sanders to serve as the Democrats’ nominee. Conversely, another 20% of surveyed likely voters noted their preference for Joe Biden to serve as the nominee for the Democrat Party.
