Willis’ attorney, John Picerno, has denied his client’s involvement.

Speaking to PEOPLE in January 2024, he stated that Willis was “unaware of how his friends died” and was “anxiously awaiting the results of the autopsy and toxicology report.” Following the arrests, Picerno reiterated to KCTV, “Jordan maintains that he is not responsible for purchasing or supplying the drugs that led to the deaths of his three friends. We are very much looking forward to the day a jury gets to hear all of the evidence in this case.”

Both Willis and Carson are currently being held on a $100,000 cash bond, as reported by the Associated Press. If convicted, each charge carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.
