Sen. Rubio is likewise in a similar boat. Democrat Rep. Val Demings seeks to take Rubio’s Senate seat; however, Susquehanna Polling and Research shows that Demings is trailing Rubio by 11 points. Demings may aspire to be a Florida senator; although, Florida residents largely prefer Rubio to serve another senatorial term.
From swing state to red state?
For a fair amount of time, the nation has regarded Florida as a swing state. With that said, the latest poll numbers indicate that Florida may be transitioning from a swing state to a red state.
Re-electing DeSantis and Rubio will ensure that the Sunshine State does not fall into the hands of the Democrats. Right now, Democrats have proven that mandates, tyranny, and government control are all they have to offer.
This is why Democrats are implementing measures that require people to show proof of vaccination in order to attend gyms, bars, and other indoor places. It appears that most Floridians do not desire this style of leadership; hence why DeSantis leads Fried and Crist while Rubio leads Demings.
